President
Chris Burns founded Resolve Insurance Group under the banner of “Determined Customer Service”, not all are created equal. What differentiates Resolve is our commitment to our team and to our clients. Resolve has over 80 years of combined client service experience, carrier relationships, risk management and claims service. Resolve strives to make the insurance experience “the best it can be”.
Chris was employed as an Insurance Sales & Operations Executive as a Maritime Specialist for over 20 years. He also has an additional 10 years in leadership roles in non-profit Maritime-related work in the Virginia Beach area. With a combination of over 30 years of experience in business leadership and program development, prior to becoming President and owner of Resolve Insurance Group. Chris was also contracted as a corporate insurance advisor in risk management, building on his experience at seven different insurance providers, brokerages and marine institutes.
Chris attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in criminal justice. He is a licensed insurance agent in over 20 states. He has current and past positions that include the Chairman of First Tee of Hampton Roads, Chairman of Schooner VA, member of the Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Norfolk Chapter, Hampton Roads Maritime Association, Ship Repair Association, Sandbridge Community Chapel and Town Point Club. Chris also volunteers at Harborfest, United Way, Dolphins Promise, Lance Armstrong Foundation, Dolphin Dash, and participates in numerous community services and environmental projects.
Burns is married to his wife, Meyon, with whom he shares two sons, Drake and Riggin. They spend their free time golfing, duck hunting, ATV riding, and cheering on ODU and The Washington Commanders.
Terri Greene
Senior VP of Marketing
Terri is located in the Norfolk, Virginia office and is the Senior Account Executive and Director of Marketing that provides the Property & Casualty insurance and risk management solutions according to the clients’ individual needs and dedicated to making the client succeed. She is the point of contact providing the client a direct route to all the resources at Resolve Insurance Group.
Terri has 30 years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance and holds a CIC and CMIP designation. She is a licensed Property/Casulty and Life/Health agent for the state of Virginia. Her last 19+ years her focus has been on contractors, manufacturing, real estate management, education as well as other specialties.
Prior to joining Resolve Insurance Group, Terri spent 4 years with Willis Towers Watson, 5 years with Marsh and McLennan Agency, 7 years with Taylor Johnson/Towne Insurance and 3 years with Flagship/Brown & Brown.
Ron Lewis
Chief Financial Officer
Ron is a licensed CPA/MBA with over 30 years’ experience in accounting that includes income tax preparation, audits, and advisory services. He is the Chief Financial Officer working out of our Virginia home office. Ron’s industry background includes public accounting, construction, advertising, insurance, and real estate.
Ron has hands-on experience in all accounting and tax services as well as day-to-day financial operations. Including planning, banking, budgeting, cash flow management, analysis, and tax returns.
Originally from Florida, being a military transplant brought him to Virginia where he met his wife and love of his life of 26 years. They love travelling, trying new food and unique drinking establishments. Of course, the golf clubs are always in the back of the car.
Wendy F. Bailey
VP Benefits Practice Group Leader
Wendy F. Bailey has been a part of the Resolve family for over 20 years. Wendy works in our South Carolina office as VP Benefits Practice Group Leader. She brings over 24 years of experience in Property & Casualty and Medicare Insurance, an area she loves to help and advise her clients. Wendy has a bachelor’s in business management in Health Care Management from the University of Alabama.
Wendy’s listed accomplishments include Spartanburg Insurance and Financial Advisor of the Year and Spartanburg Lions Club International President’s Medal of Honor. She was the former President of the Spartanburg Lions Club and NAIFA Spartanburg.
In her spare time, she serves on various committees at her home church and is actively involved with the Rebel Touchdown Club. Wendy and her husband live in Spartanburg with their two teenagers who are active in sports and other activities.
Maggie Earle
Administrative Assistant
Maggie is the Insurance Administrative Assistant in the South Carolina office. She has over 20 years’ experience in customer service and banking. Maggie previously held a supervisory role at the South Carolina National Bank where she collaborated with brokers and investments.
Maggie worked at Southeastern Paper group in Human Resources, revamping the company’s filing system and onboarding new hires. She lives and breathes the Resolve’s mission statement “Determined Customer Service.” She speaks with clients daily, listens to concerns and works quickly to find solutions efficiently.
Maggie has a degree from Limestone University and South University majoring in Psychology. Originally from Jonesville, SC, she enjoys spending her free time with her son and grandchild.
Jacosha Simpson
Sales Executive
Jacosha is a Sales Executive in our South Carolina office. She has an associate degree from Spartanburg Methodist College and studied Urban Development at The College of Charleston.
Jacosha has many years of customer service working in the hospitality and service industry. She also has experience working closely with insurance companies managing claims and loans. Jacosha is currently licensed in Health, Accident and Life and currently working on her license in Property and Casualty.
Jacosha’s goal and focus is to help anyone and everyone she can. In her spare time, she enjoys mommy & daughter time, music, dancing, crafting, and art. “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” – Hebrews 13:16
Chelsea Johnson
Office Administrator
Chelsea is the Insurance Office Administrator at our South Carolina office. She has years of experience working with fortune 500 companies in training and compliance and being the right hand to top executives in the corporate world.
Chelsea is an eager, empathetic, and driven employee which she has proven by recently receiving her license in Life, Accident and Health. She attended and graduated from Spartanburg Methodist College.
Passions outside of her career consist of spending quality time with loved ones. Chelsea leads her life by facts and faith with the intent to provide the utmost respectable service to everyone she meets
Crystal Kelly
VP Account Executive
Crystal is the VP Account Executive in our Virginia home office working closely with our Alabama maritime division. She started her insurance career almost 25 years ago at GEICO. Crystal has professional experience in personal and commercial lines, including large/complex risks and marine insurance. Her past work experience includes Towne Insurance, Brown & Brown and Willis Towers Watson.
Crystal has a bachelor’s in business administration majoring in Finance and Marketing from Old Dominion University. She continued her education earning a Master of Business Administration from Troy University and holds numerous insurance designations including CIC, CISR, ACSR and AIS.
Crystal was born and raised in Virginia and in her spare time, she enjoys crafting, spending time with her 2 rescued pups, friends and family.
Jeremy Sykes
VP of Underwriting and Claims
Jeremy is VP of Underwriting and Claims in our Virginia home office working closely with our Alabama Maritime Division. He holds a Masters in Maritime and Transport Management from the University of Antwerp in Belgium and in business administration from Old Dominion University. Jeremy also holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Virginia Wesleyan University.
Jeremy has years of experience in the marine underwriting industry working with global insurance firms in New York City. He has worked with ports and terminal teams on the risk management and broker side of the insurance world. He currently holds a current Inland Masters Captains License.
Jeremy is an Adjunct Professor for Marine Insurance for the master’s program at Old Dominion University. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, surfing, and spending quality time with his family.

Betty is the Senior VP Office Manager at our Robbins North Carolina office. She has over 9 years of experience in the insurance field and is currently licensed in Property, Casualty, and Life insurance.
Before entering the insurance world, Betty worked as a licensed CNA at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living, where she discovered her passion for helping others.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is committed to identifying the best policies for her clients and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. She specializes in tailoring policies to meet individual client needs and focuses on building long-term relationships.

Debbie is an avid traveler, having explored various destinations abroad and lived in 13 different states. She enjoys motorcycle riding and spending time with her grandson and her four-legged best friend. Her diverse experiences have enriched her perspective and contribute to her ability to connect with clients from all walks of life.
Luci Prazeres
Senior Sales Executive
Luci is the Senior Sales Executive at our Robbins North Carolina office. She has years of experience in the insurance world with a license in Property & Casualty. Luci graduated from Ibero American University with a degree in Arts/Human Services Technology. She also holds a Masters in Arts from Campbell University and is fluent in English, Spanish & Portuguese.
Luci has previous experience teaching ESL, Counseling and has worked in the Rural Development housing industry. She is a world traveler being born in Brazil and traveling to Hungary and Romania through her missionary work.
Luci has 2 beautiful daughters with her husband of over 20+ years and guardians of her 3 nieces. She applies everything she has learned throughout her life into her job. She strives to serve her community and to help them save financially by providing the best affordable insurance service.
Peggy Davis
Senior Account Manager
Peggy is the Senior Account Manager in our Virginia Home office. She has over 30 years of experience working in the insurance industry. Peggy will be responsible for direct client services and act as an additional resource for our Property, Casualty, Small Business and Personal Line accounts.
Peggy has experience in Commercial Lines, Middle Market and Large/Complex Risks. She has a ACSR insurance designation, and her past work experience includes Willis Towers Watson.
Peggy was born and raised in Virginia and her passions outside of her career consist of spending quality time with her family, friends and four-legged companion.
